Praia do Amor is Pipa's most iconic beach — and for good reason. Red cliffs framing the beach, a viewpoint suspended over the ocean and perfect waves create one of the most photographed landscapes in Northeast Brazil.
The Viewpoint at Praia do Amor
The viewpoint sits at the top of the cliffs separating Praia do Amor from Praia do Centro. From there, the view embraces both beaches, the blue Atlantic and the rust-colored cliffs in their full extent. Access is free and open all day.
Surfing at Praia do Amor
Praia do Amor has well-formed waves for intermediate surfers. The waves breaking near the cliffs are more technically challenging than Madeiro — ideal for those with some practice looking to improve. In high season the spot gets busier; in low season there is more room for everyone.
How to Get There from the Hostel
From No Worries Hostel, it is about 600 meters on foot — around 8 minutes walking along the seafront or through the village. Head south through Centrinho and take the trail down toward the viewpoint. Closed shoes help on the cliff path.
Early morning (before 9am) the beach is less crowded and the light is perfect for photos. In the late afternoon, the cliff colors become even more intense as the sun drops lower.
No Worries Hostel: 100m from the main strip, 10min from the best beaches.
